One server plan. A fair share.

TideView will offer a 7-day free trial when subscriptions open. After the trial, the early-adopter personal-server plan is $4 USD per month. We believe sharing development costs across our members is a fair way to support continued development, fixes and improvements.

Early adopters keep the $4 monthly rate while continuously subscribed. All server features are part of the plan as they become available, subject to hardware and client compatibility. Hardware, storage and optional third-party services are separate.

Your media always gets the front row.

When you connect your own server, your library leads. Planned free streaming would live in dedicated navigation tabs, without replacing your personal-media home or pushing someone else’s catalog ahead of your own content.

Your media stays on your server, and your devices connect directly to it. At home, you can keep watching even if TideView’s online services are unavailable.

Remote access also depends on your internet connection and connection services. We’re building in redundant DNS and backup connection options to improve resilience, but no system can guarantee uninterrupted remote access.

More ways to enjoy your server.

  • Movies and shows: organize the folders you choose, with profiles, favorites, watch progress and personal recommendations.
  • TideShift Music: carry your queue and listening position between compatible PC, Android and Roku clients.
  • Photos and video backup: back up memories from supported Android devices to storage you control on your server.
  • TV+ picture enhancement: optional AI upscaling for supported sources, with high-quality processing targeted at NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070, 5080 and 5090 hardware. Older GPUs remain unconfirmed.
  • Live TV and DVR: connect compatible tuners and authorized sources, optionally add guide data, and record supported programming where permitted.
  • TideView Games: our original Popcorn Pictures game is included, alongside support for compatible games you own or have permission to use on PC and Android.
  • TideView Control: manage users, devices, sources, server processing and active streams.

Features vary by client and may change during alpha. Review the preliminary PC hardware targets before planning a setup.

TideView: Popcorn Pictures

We wanted you to have something fun waiting in Games from the start, so we made our own little movie-set slingshot game and bundled it with TideView.

We’re not game developers… but we tried. Think flying popcorn, collapsing cardboard scenery, spilling drinks and movie characters having a very bad day at work. It’s a lighthearted extra from the people building your media server.

There are 38 scenes with increasing difficulty, up to 114 stars to earn, and unlimited retakes. Falling debris and tumbling characters can knock other things over. Hit the big floating popcorn directly—or catch it with a nearby air-pop—for a mega explosion and a free shot.

Open Games on a compatible PC browser or Android device and choose TideView. Hold A to pull back, release to launch, and use B to pop in midair. On a keyboard, use X and Z. Android phones and tablets also have 13 selectable handheld skins, including four TideView graffiti designs.

This is an original Game Boy Color game made for TideView, with its own pixel art, music and sound effects. The pictures above show the actual game.

A Sports tab that follows your teams.

Choose supported leagues and favorite teams, see live and upcoming games, and check scores and status where data is available. TideView checks your selected guide sources to help locate a matching broadcast, and tells you when one is not available on your configured sources.

Upcoming-game reminders are available for supported Android clients using the same profile with notifications enabled. A Sports listing is not access to the broadcast: you still need a source you are entitled to watch. Sports data, league coverage, reminders and client support may vary.

Free streaming is on the roadmap.

We plan to offer free, ad-supported live TV channels and movies and shows on demand. If content agreements are secured, the intended experience is to open TideView and watch with commercials—without signing in, owning a server or paying for the server plan.

This service is planned, not yet available. No content partner, channel lineup, catalog or release date is confirmed. Launch depends on content and advertising agreements, and availability may vary by territory.

Where we’re heading.

Alpha testing is targeted by November 2026. This is a development target, not a guaranteed release date.

Our planned launch clients are Roku, Android TV / Google TV, Android phones and tablets, and PC web access, with a Windows personal server. iPhone and iPad are not part of the announced launch lineup. Supported devices and OS versions will be refined through testing; distribution is subject to applicable app-store approvals.

The PC images are based on actual TideView screenshots, edited with AI to replace media, channel branding and personal details. Roku and Android TV images remain illustrative concepts. All depicted content is fictional, not a promised catalog.
